Kristof De Spiegeleer

Kristof De Spiegeleer is a dedicated serial entrepreneur with an impressive track record in data center optimization technology. Kristof's first big success dates back to 2005, when Veritas/Symantec acquired his de-duplication technology venture DataCenter Technologies, and his hosting company Dedigate was aqcuired by Terremark. Later successes include Hostbasket that is now part of Telenet and Q-layer, which built the very first IAAS platform, and was acquired by Sun.

Next to Zenith Infotech Europe, Kristof is currently active in about a dozen technology startups, including Amplidata, Racktivity, Aserver, Dacentec. Through Incubaid, Kristof's incubation center, he aims at providing management experience, facilities and a rich network to technology startups. His youngest initiative is the Green IT Globe (GIG), which offers customers the most innovative portfolio of Cloud and Green Computing technologies.

Kristof is a respected visionary, surrounded by a team of data center veterans and experienced software engineers while his track record has given him high credibility and long standing relations with international VC's and industry leaders.

Wilbert Ingels

Wilbert Ingels has 16 years of experience in the IT and Telecoms sector. Before starting with A-Server he was: Sales Director at Netcom Solutions, Sales Director and European Director Business Development at Level3 Communications Inc., Vice President Sales, Senior Vice President Managed Hosting and Chief Operating Officer Europe at Dedigate/Terremark Inc.

Wilbert is an engineer by education and an expert in datacenter design and power management. He invented several new concepts regarding power management in datacenters. He has several patents on his name for datacenter power technology designs.

Wilbert was the fouder of Racktivity. Racktivity did 2 succesfull funding rounds and is now headquartered in the US. Next to its power expertise, Ingels has on the field experience as CTO in previous ventures for multi datacenter design and management, data replication methods, security in datacenters, high volume infrastructure setups and disaster recovery in and between datacenters.

Wilbert is an Entrepreneur In Residence from Incubaid. Wilbert is now one of the founding partners of Dacentec and was co-founder of Dedigate, Racktivity & A-server before.

Hummingbird Ventures is a venture capital fund for high-growth digital media and software companies. In addition to funding, Hummingbird Ventures leverages its extensive operational experience and worldwide network to actively help startups accelerate their growth.

Frank Maene

Frank joined Hummingbird Ventures as a Managing Partner during the capital raising process, in November 2000, which led to the Big Bang Ventures I Fund. Frank has many years of high-tech operational experience, in both executive sales and general management positions, with software and services companies in Europe and the US. Frank currently serves on the board of directors of Amplidata, CicekSepeti, Dacentec, Digitouch and Racktivity. He was the chairman of DataCenterTechnologies (acquired by Symantec) and Q-layer (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and a director on the board of Avinity (acquired by ActiveVideo Networks).

Belgacom

Belgacom is the incumbent and leading Belgian telecom provider, listed on the Euronext Brussels stock exchange. Belgacom offers both fixed and mobile services, with a strong focus on the Belgian market which consists of roughly 4.7 million households, 840k SMEs (<200 employees) and 2k corporations (>200 employees).

Jan Manssens

After studies in Belgium and France, Jan started working at the University of Antwerp as a research assistant in the political and social sciences department. Focus domains were ethno-nationalistic conflicts and decision-making analysis in politics and large organizations.
In 2000 he moved to the telecom industry. Initially working in the fixed line business of Belgium’s incumbent operator Belgacom, his scope enlarged to include the mobile industry when leading operator Proximus was merged fully into Belgacom. As part of the Belgacom Group Strategy management team, Jan co-drove Belgacom’s entry into the network integration domain (acquisition of Telindus in 2006), Belgacom’s move into IT services for SME and was designing the strategy for Telindus International and Tango together with his operational counterparts. Since August 2011 Jan leads the strategy and planning team of the Enterprise Business Unit of Belgacom. As an enterprise strategist he both looks at organic and non-organic ways to implement the solution centric convergence strategy.
