Where is your datacenter located?
Our 25,000 plus square foot datacenter is located in Lenoir NC about 70 miles from Charlotte NC. Lenoir is situated in a region referred to as the Carolina Datacenter Corridor. This corridor is shared by Google, Apple, Facebook.
Why was Lenoir North Carolina selected as a site?
Lenoir was selected due to the availability and cost of power, the cost and availability of land, fiber connectivity and the lack of vulnerability to natural disasters. As one can see from the attached map Lenoir is in an environmentally stable area. Click here to see the map.
Is your datacenter SAS 70 and SSAE 16 certified?
Yes, Deloitte & Touche performed both SSAE 16 audits. Copies are available upon request.
What type of colocation space do you provide?
We offer racks, suites and custom built spacing.
What certifications do your technicians hold?
The Dacentec technical operations staff has industry certifications in Cisco, Microsoft and CompTIA.
What “Hands and Eyes” services do you offer?
Our technicians provide racking services including equipment installation, reboots and IP KVM.
How much does Dacentec charge for remote hands and eyes?
As a service to our clients Dacentec does not charge for normal hands and eyes procedures.
What business facilities are available to your clients?
Clients of our datacenter have access to office space, conference and staging areas.
Do I have access to my hardware?
Yes 24 hour access is available.
What type of support services do you provide?
We provide 24/7/365 hands and eyes support.
What type of security is in use?
Dacentec uses HID badge access control using proximity card and PIN combination, security Cameras with digital recorders, bulletproof glass, and resides as an unmarked building. Our security procedures prevent unauthorized entrance, data compromises, network breaches and unauthorized system access.
What type of backup power systems are used?
UPS, diesel along with dual power feeds.
Explain the type of connectivity offered?
We are a carrier neutral facility that also offers blended bandwidth.
Is there a charge for cross-connect?
There are no monthly or recurring charges for cross-connects.
Why do you consider your datacenter “green”?
The Lenoir datacenter was built with the primary goal of providing an enterprise level datacenter while at the same time being environmentally conscious. We expect our center to have a low Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). The PUE metric compares a facility’s total power usage to the amount of power used by the IT equipment.
Are there resellers programs available?
We offer different reseller and white label programs.
